Our Presence at AuTo ExPo 2O1O




Mahindra Navistar Engines Pvt Ltd (MNEPL)., a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) and Navistar Inc. USA, North America's largest combined commercial truck, school bus and mid-range diesel engine manufacturer, showcased its range of engines for the first time at the 10th Auto Expo 2010 which is being held between the 5th to 11th January 2010 at Pragati Maidan Delhi. At the Exhibition, Mahindra Navistar Engines has its own sprawling booth at Engines Pavilion.

Top management from both sides was present at the MNEPL stall on the opening day. The MNEPL booth at the Auto Expo was officially inaugurated by Mr. Pawan Goenka President M&M automotive sector & Chairman MNEPL, Mr. Daniel C. Ustian President & CEO Navistar International Corporation & Mr. Eric Tech President Navistar Engines on January 6. Mr. Pankag Sonalkar MD MNEPL & Mr K V N Prasad Business head MNEPL were present at the booth to welcome the visitors.

MNEPL showcased their high end engines range like the 6.12 TCE, NGD 9.3 E, 4.12 TCE, 4.08 TCE, NGD 3.0, 4.12 TCE CNG and 4.12 TCE D. These engines are known for their high performance, reliable and fuel efficient performance. The focus was on the 6.12 TCE which is a symbol of the most contemporary and state-of-the-art engine technology. It is among the most modern engines in its class. It has been adapted to Indian conditions to power Mahindra Navistar's new range of M & HCV trucks and buses which have just been launched. The Mahindra Navistar engines are manufactured at a state-of-the-art engine manufacturing plant at Chakan in Maharashtra. The plant will be spread across 23 acres of land and is equipped for serial production of medium speed diesel engines.

Focus on off road engine applications

The company has positioned itself as a high end engines manufacturer catering to a variety of needs for engines for all applications besides diesel engines for medium and heavy commercial trucks and buses. Therefore the company will actively cater to off road engine applications like engines which would power heavy duty defense vehicles, compressors, excavators, marine applications, generators as well as fork lifts and container lifts. The Mahnidra Navistar stall at the Auto Expo therefore has a strong focus on showcasing engines for these off road applications. MNEPL 's objective is to showcase its state of the art engines at their auto expo stall as well as interact with prospective business generating visitors. The team of engine experts present at the stall from MNEPL offered business visitors unique & customized engine solutions for their various off road engine requirements. Besides this they also provided expert advice on how MNEPL's technologically advanced engine products would enhance their productivity based on a various attributes like their unique 4 valve per engine technology, high fuel efficiency, low emissions, longer engine life, low maintenance cost & high peak power at higher and on steep grades.
